Recently I did event photography for my friend Azam who did a fundraiser to allow her to bring clothing to underprivileged children in Tanzania through the NEEMA Project. Azam is a student and heard about NEEMA and knew she could do something to help. She decided to do a clothing drive to collect clothing for infants and children and will be going to Tanzania to deliver the clothes herself (and make a few memories of course)!
A couple of weeks ago I went up to Cascade Falls, just east of my hometown of Mission, BC, to enjoy the falls in the snow and ice of the particularly cold and long winter (for this area anyway). My friend since university who I will identify as “Mr. C” was up there with us and we took a few photos in between playing with some photos of the falls and breaking my ankle (that’s a story for another time).
I’ve never owned a new Apple laptop. My first foray into the world of Apple portables was a 2006 MacBook Pro that I used at a programming job, and took it when I left in exchange for a bunch of overtime. From there I upgraded by selling the old one and finding a new one on Craigslist. This took me to a 2009, then 2011, and then most recently in 2016 a 2014 15” MacBook Pro Retina. But until two days ago I’ve never had the experience of opening up a brand new (not just “new to me”) Apple laptop.
